Tim Steidten talks with Hugo Ekitike ‘Positive’

According to our information, a meeting took place between Luis Campos and the technical director of West Ham, Tim Steidten about the number 44 of PSG, author of three goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances last year,” Foot Mercato reports.

With the arrival of Kolo Muani to PSG, Ekitike is facing tough competition to make it in the starting XI. However, Luis Enrique has reportedly told the player as an integral part of the squad. In spite of this, Ekitike is open for a talk with David Moyes as he wants more playing time.

Is Ekitike the right choice for West Ham?

The 21 year-old Frenchman is the top target for Hammers as a replacement to Antonio. Moreover, the movement, pace & flair of Ekitike makes him a special talent at such a young age. With the approaching deadline of the Summer Transfer window, both PSG and West Ham are pushing for the move on an undisclosed fee yet.

In addition to it, West Ham also have Divock Origi and Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as an option for strike.

Currently, West Ham is focusing on the deal for Mohammad Kudus from Ajax to strengthen their midfield. Tim Steidten has already signed James Ward Prowse and Alvarez as the midfield maestros.

If West Ham can complete the deals for Ekitike and Kudus through the door in addition to Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and Mavropanos then they will be looking a serious side.
