Tottenham join the race to sign Raphinha?

Tottenham have reportedly joined the race to sign in-demand Leeds United attacker Raphinha this summer.The Brazilian international is expected to leave Elland Road this summer transfer window. He helped Jesse Marsch’s side secure Premier League survival in the last match of the last season.

Raphinha’s contract is up in 2024, but the club are still expected to demand a hefty fee for his services. The interested parties are thought to have been quoted at least £50m. Barcelona are thought to be at the head of the queue for the 25-year-old winger.

The player has already agreed a 5-year contract with Barca. Although, doubts have emerged over Barca’s ability to pay the hefty fee due to their financial woes. Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with the Brazilian international.

Now, according to reports Tottenham have joined the race to sign the exciting winger. It is looking like Spurs could rival their North London counterparts for his signature. Tottenham , at the moment, have already signed Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic on free transfers.

They have allegedly agreed deals to sign Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence for a combined £45 million. Although, they are also interested in signing Richarlison from Everton who plays in the same position as Raphinha. The report also states that only one will be signed by Antonio Conte and the Spurs.

Arsenal are currently focusing on signing Youri Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus. Meanwhile, Chelsea are prioritising a move for Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer. So, if Spurs can move fast and sign the winger, it would be a great signing for Antonio Conte.

The report adds that Raphinha will reject any new contract offer from Leeds. Leeds have also accepted that the Brazilian wants to fulfill his European ambition. As a result, Leeds will not stand in Raphinha’s easy if a suitable offer is tabled. Raphinha has amassed 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 outings for Leeds.
