Trent Alexander-Arnold close to signing a new deal with Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold is really close to signing a new contract with Liverpool. Manager Jurgen Klopp is on the verge of starting a new era at Anfield. Besides having a transition in the midfield, Liverpool have also witnessed a drastic change in their game as well so far. After an underwhelming 2022/23 season, the Reds have started their campaign with five wins out of six.

Liverpool witnessed the exits of Milner, Keita, Chamberlain, Fabinho and Henderson this season. However, a total of four midfielders also came to the Merseyside club. Dominik Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Wataru Endo signed for Liverpool. Furthermore, the reports of contract deal for Trent Alexander-Arnold are fuming as well.

Trent nearing to a new contract at Liverpool

According to a Football Insider, Trent is now close to an agreement with Liverpool as a part of the rebuild. Owing to the report,

Trent Alexander-Arnold is desperate to be part of the ‘reloaded’ Liverpool side and is close to signing a new contract, sources have told Football Insider. Alexander-Arnold has no plans to leave Anfield and there is a willingness among all parties to agree a deal.

The 24-year-old has just under two years remaining on his contract with the Reds and the club are keen to end any speculation surrounding his future.”

“Top clubs across England and Europe would love to prise the full-back away from Anfield. But a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Alexander-Arnold is fully committed to Liverpool. The England international has recently been made vice-captain at Liverpool following the exits of James Milner and Jordan Henderson and is keen to be part of a new look side that can get back into the Champions League next season.”

Moreover, after becoming the club’s new vice-captain in the summer, it is unlikely for him to leave. At just 24-year old age, Alexander-Arnold has already been described as “world-class” by Dani Alves.
