The inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League(WPL) is going to happen this year. This will be a massive booster for the Women cricketer themselves and the followers of Women’s cricket. This will prepare the Indian players to react in high-pressure games and gives a lot of exposure to the world of cricket.

Smriti Mandhana said that

“It’s a very big thing and we all are excited for the Women’s Premier League auction. We have always seen the Men’s IPL and how the auction happens. We all are very excited for it and how it’s going to unfold.”

Natalie Sciver-Brunt, England’s batting all-rounder on WPL said that

“I think it’s going to be the next big thing for women’s cricket. These are the stepping stones that women’s cricket needed. We have been catching upto the men’s game in the past decade. It seems like a very big move forward. In terms of how big it will be, people are making assumptions and I believe it will be bigger than what they think.”
