Here we have with us the West Ham United player ratings as they go past Wolverhampton Wanderers for a 1-0 win. Both teams were equally good in the game but West Ham had more shots on target Wolves. However, Wolves enjoyed 61% of the ball but still could not find the net or give a tough fight to the Hammers.

West Ham United opened the scoring in the 59th minute of the game. Aaron Cresswell found Michail Antonio on the left-hand side who had some time on the ball. Antonio did well to find Tomas Soucek in the box who nudged it past the Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.

Both the clubs had a good number of chances to score, however, West Ham enjoyed the better chances as Declan Rice hit the post with an outrageous shot from outside the box. Before Aaron Cresswell also came close from a free-kick but was not able to hit on target. Hwang also came close to scoring in the first half as his attempt fizzed the goal post.

West Ham are currently 5th on the Premier League table with 45 points. Whereas, Wolves are 8th on the league table with 40 points. Both clubs are facing strong competition to finish in the top four and secure a Champions League spot for the next season. However, they are both capable of causing upsets and winning against the big teams to change the look of the Premier League table.

West Ham player ratings vs Wolves

Lukasz Fabianski – 7/10

Made a few good stops and did everything a goalkeeper has to do. Looked comfortable in stopping the Wolves’ crosses.

Ben Johnson – 8/10

Excellent job in the first half while going forward and attacking. Also defended quite well when Wolves put pressure for the equalizer.

Craig Dawson – 7/10

Looks far more comfortable when he is partnered along with Kurt Zouma. Won almost every aerial duel as he usually does.

Kurt Zouma – 9/10

Brilliant display from Zouma as he stopped Fabio Silva on many occasions which cut half of Wolves’ threat.

Aaron Cresswell – 7/10

Needed one good match to get back in form after a few poor performances. This could be that match as he was also involved in the buildup to the goal and defended well.

Declan Rice – 7/10

Had an outrageous effort to score from outside the box but only found the post. Otherwise, he played his usual game dominating the midfield.

Tomas Soucek – 7/10

Celebrated his birthday with the winning goal. Moreover, he ran non-stop to help the defense and played a few dangerous passes.

Jarrod Bowen – 6/10

Could have created a good chance in the first half but missed it with a poor pass to Antonio. He wasn’t able to trouble the opposition defense as he usually does.

Pablo Fornals – 7/10

Took some time to get comfortable in the game and was very important in the build-up to goal as his back heel started the move.

Manuel Lanzini – 6/10

Took up some dangerous positions on the pitch and did well for linkup plays with his teammates.

Michail Antonio – 7/10

Got himself an assist with a fine accurate pass for Tomas Soucek. Looked more threatening and sharper compared to a few poor performances recently.
