West Ham United player rating vs Olympique Lyon

West Ham United took on Olympique Lyon in the quarter finals of the Europa League. The David Moyes led side made history by winning 3-0 and progressing on to the semi finals. Here are the West Ham player rating for the match.

Starting XI (West Ham) vs Lyon

Alphonse Areola – Areola was sharp in the beginning of the game when Lyon made full blown attacks. However, This quickly changed when West Ham United regained their tempo and took control.

Vladimir Coufal – Struggled at the beginning when Lyon were creating chances however settled down once West Ham was on the wheel.

Craig Dawson – Started shaky however found his mojo quickly. Scored the opener and blocked every attack that came his way.

Issa Diop – Won a lot of aerial duels and clearances and overall had a great game. Hopefully would continue this run as West Ham aim for a top 4 spot.

Ben Johnson – Made a good assist and looked comfortable taking the ball forward.

Declan Rice – Took hold of the midfield during the shaky period and controlled the whole game. Helped West Ham dominate the entire game.

Tomas Soucek – Looked menacing for Lyon when he moved forward. Made a couple of good passes as well.

Jarrod Bowen – Looked really comfortable with the ball today. And made a sublime finish to score his goal.

Pablo Fornals – Was probably the best player on the pitch. Made a couple of assists and was sharp on the ball.

Michail Antonio – Still searching for the goal however, troubled the Lyon defense.
