Mikel Arteta smells the title hopes after William Saliba and Eddie Nketiah fitness update. Arsenal are hopeful that they could get over the line this season. Saliba returning to training has also boosted the confidence within the group.

Saliba limped off in Arsenal’s knock out from the Europa League against Sporting CP. He suffered an issue with his back that forced the youngster to be substituted. The defender missed the clash with Liverpool and it is still unclear when he will comeback. With a back injury difficult to predict just how big an issue it is.

William Saliba and Eddie Nketiah could be game changers for Arsenal this season

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah returns to training and Saka has a message for him. Nketiah stepped up when Arsenal needed him the most after Jesus was injured. He is now fully back and will be available for selection. Ever since Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag claimed that Arsenal have no injuries, Arsenal have been dealt with 3 huge blows.

Nketiah is now back and the Gunners have a clinical attack for the remainder of the season. Arsenal take on West Ham United next this weekend. It looks Nketiah will be fit and available for that game. He scored one goal in the reverse fixture back in December. He would love nothing more than to find the net again next weekend.

Arsenal could’ve done with someone like Eddie Nketiah to come off the bench against Liverpool at Anfield. He would’ve been a great option to stretch Liverpool’s defence, but unfortunately for Arteta, he wasn’t available.

Eddie Nketiah has missed a few games for Arsenal, but he took to Instagram yesterday to confirm that he is now back in training. This would be a big relief for Arteta as now he has someone to bring of the bench other than Trossard and Nelson
