Ancelloti Wants Richarlison At Real Madrid

Everton forward Richarlison may be on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. Manager Carlo Ancelloti has requested Fiorentino Perez to sign the attacker, according to Sport. Richarlison recently claimed that he was contemplating his future, and a move to the Los Blancos will surely be enticing.

Ancelloti has coached the Brazilian before and is well aware of his quality. Richarlison has been a consistent performer for the Toffees over the years, but the team as a whole has been underwhelming. A dangerous tryst with relegation the previous season may prompt him to look elsewhere for fulfilling his potential.

Real Madrid just won the Champions League but would be looking to upgrade their attacking options. The departures of Gareth Bale and Isco have left a gaping hole on their right side. Kylian Mbappe was supposed to fill that gap. ut the Frenchman decided to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Good Move For Real Madrid?

Eden Hazard has been perpetually injured since his 100 million pound move from Chelsea. Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic have both been inconsistent, and Marco Asensio too has not been the same since his ACL injury in 2019. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr enjoyed a stellar season. ut they cannot be expected to keep performing at this level. Moreover, given Benzema’s age, it would be good to plan ahead for the future as well.

In this scenario, Richarlison becomes a good option upfront for the 14-time UCL winners. He has proven his ability with the Brazilian national team and has found the back of the net regularly in an unstable team. With better teammates, his numbers can only go up.

Real Madrid do need another goal scorer among their ranks, and Richarlison can be one of them. However, the price of 80 million set by Everton may turn out to be too steep and hinder the move. Richarlison loves the club.
