Football pundit Gary Neville has acknowledged that it is “really important” for Ange Postecoglou to restore enjoyment to Tottenham Hotspur.

Neville discussed this weekend’s Premier League activity on his podcast, The Gary Neville Podcast. After witnessing Tottenham’s thrilling comeback victory over Sheffield United, the former Manchester United defender offered his opinion on them.
Despite putting Sheffield United’s goal under pressure, Spurs were trailing 1-0 thanks to a Gustavo Hamer goal. Richarlison headed in Ivan Perisic’s corner for Tottenham to make a spectacular comeback. Dejan Kulusevski then won it after the Brazilian set him up.
Ange Postecoglou is only receiving more accolades for the two goals that spurred the Tottenham fans into a frenzy in stoppage time.

Neville has reiterated his belief that Postecoglou is contributing something “really important” by ensuring that Tottenham supporters “will have a lot of fun this season”. Ange Postecoglou received praise from Neville for demonstrating that he is a “good man”. He has made an impression on the media and takes chances with his strategies.
The former England star did caution against becoming overexcited at this time. He also said that Tottenham will review their season expectations in January rather than at this time. However, Neville is extremely eager for a “showcase game” against rivals Arsenal the following week. He thinks this might be an intriguing contest.

“I said when we went to watch Tottenham versus Manchester United a good few weeks ago now, that they’re going to have a lot of fun this season, the Tottenham fans, and I think that’s really important, that your team has that cohesion with the manager and has that feeling that he belongs there.”
He further added
“There’s no doubt with Ange Postecoglou that they believe this is a man that’s a good man. He speaks up in interviews, he’s got an honesty about him. He plays good football, he takes risk – which I think is really important for Spurs fans. At this moment, I would say it’s absolutely fantastic but we need to just review it in January, because I’m sure that’s what the Tottenham coaching staff will be thinking; very early in the season, not a time to get carried away, a time to keep working. Next weekend is a showcase game I can’t wait for.”
Spurs supporters can dream thanks to Postecoglou
Tottenham’s victory over Sheffield United in stoppage time won’t convince sceptics to suddenly consider Tottenham as a title contender. Ange Postecoglou, a breath of fresh air in North London, is allowing Tottenham fans to dream, though.
Tottenham fans were left with the impression that they had to put up with substandard football and continuously have their expectations managed under Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Antonio Conte.
Ange Postecoglou is providing thrilling football, lots of goals, and an acceptance of what it means to be a football supporter, including aspirations of success and enjoyment of the game’s dynamics.
