Arsenal and Man City’s interest in the Aston Villa star has turned his head

Arsenal

Following interest in his services from Premier League leaders Arsenal and his former club Manchester City, Douglas Luiz has grown uneasy at Aston Villa.

This season, Luiz has performed admirably for Villa. It wouldn’t be incorrect to argue that he has been among the Premier League’s best players overall this season. Luiz has propelled Unai Emery’s team to the top 4 of the Premier League standings. Where they are mingling with the best in the league, with five goals and three assists so far this season.

According to Football Insider, Luiz has had his head turned because he is aware that major Premier League teams are interested in him.

Premier League giants has an eye on Luiz

Although Aston Villa intends to keep Luiz. They are determined to get more than £100 million for him even if they have to let him go. In light of the recent high-profile transfers of Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez to the Premier League, they think the asking price is reasonable.

Villa has been this season’s success story, led by Emery to third place in the Premier League.

The Brazilian midfielder Luiz would gladly stay unless Villa accepted a bid for him, as his move still appears improbable. For Luiz’s career, a transfer from Aston Villa to either Arsenal or Man City would be a significant step forward.

It’s difficult to say no to these teams because, under Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola, respectively, they both contend for trophies on a regular basis and play some of the best football in Europe.
