Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window. Chelsea and Liverpool are also monitoring his situation.
However, the Ecuadorian midfielder would perfectly fit in the playing system of Mikel Arteta. Although, Brighton are also going to demand a mega fee of 100 million for their midfielder.
ARSENAL AND MOISES CAICEDO TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, Arsenal are going to make a bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window. The midfielder is also open to the move. However, he will not force a move out of Brighton. This is because the Seagulls believed in his ability and determination to play in the Premier League. However, it looks like the Gunners will make a bid for the midfielder in the coming days. Transfer expert Kim Kothari has also picked the Gunners as the favorite to sign Moises Caicedo.
He has also said that this would be a brilliant business for Arsenal in January. Kim further said,
“They’re doing good business, and I think this would be quite a big statement signing. It seems like a lot of money, of course, £75m as I’ve said, but he’s a very, very, very good player.“
“He probably will be playing backup at the moment but Arsenal have been quite lucky with injuries so far this season, so if anything happens in that midfield, he’s going to be a fantastic replacement to have – especially come the end of the season.”
BRIGHTON ARE NOT VERY OPEN TO SELLING THEIR STAR MIDFIELDER IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
According to Brighton Chairman Tony Bloom, they do not have any intentions of selling Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window. They have already rejected bids of 55 million from Chelsea. Hence, it is clear that Arsenal will have to pay more than his valuation in January. Moises Caicedo has also said in his interview with Brighton’s website that he is happy to stay here till the end of the season. Hence, it looks like the interest of the Gunners is from the agency of the player.
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has also advised Caicedo to move to Arsenal or any other interested clubs in the next summer transfer window. He further said in an interview,
“Moises is very important for us.“
“It is difficult to change with another player now at this stage. I hope he finishes the season with us, but it’s always difficult to be certain. When big teams want our players, it’s good news for the club. “The best solution is that he finishes the season with us and for him, in the summer, it’s better then if he changes teams. I don’t know if he will continue to play like this – the last games – it is possible he can leave for another team [in the summer].”
Hence, it is clear Arsenal will need to make a mega bid to sign Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window. They have also Everton midfielder Amadou Onana on their midfielder transfer list. However, the Belgian midfielder will not leave Everton in January and help them in their relegation battle.
