Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is starting to show his leadership skills at the club. A number of fans have also called him the future captain of the club.
He also called new January signing Jakub Kiwior into the dressing room to celebrate the win against Manchester United. Hence, this clearly states that the Gunners consider every person at the club their family.
ARSENAL HAVE FOUND A FUTURE CAPTAIN IN THE FORM OF OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is slowly starting to become the favorite player of some fans. He has also displayed his brilliant leadership skills. Zinchenko was one of the players that encouraged other players to win against Manchester United. Hence, many fans have also called him the future captain of the club. Therefore, it looks like the Gunners have found a bargain signing from Manchester City. He has also encouraged his teammates to aim for trophies this season.
He has said in an interview that people are slowly realizing that Arsenal are the real deal this season. Zinchenko further said,
” To be honest, when I had just arrived, the quality I saw … Obviously I knew the Arsenal team, I knew all of them before, but still I realised on the pitch we have everything to achieve big things, “I started to speak in the dressing room, saying: ‘Guys, forget top three or whatever, we need to think about the title.’ Some of them were laughing but no one is laughing now and all of us are dreaming.“
THE UKRAINIAN DEFENDER HAS ALSO HELPED JAKUB KIWIOR SETTLE WITH THE GUNNERS EASILY
Arsenal completed all the formalities to sign Jakub Kiwior from Spezia just before Manchester United. However, the defender watched the game from the stands as he was not registered. Although, Jakub was standing outside of the dressing room to congratulate his new teammates after the win. However, Zinchenko won the hearts after he called Kiwior into the dressing room for the celebrations. Kiwior’s agent Pawel Zimonczyk has confirmed the news in an interview.
He further said,
“Zinchenko dragged Jakub into the changing room after the game against Man United. His entrance wasn’t planned, but as soon as Zinchenko saw him, he called out, ‘If you’re already with us, you’re already with us’.”
Hence, this clearly shows that Arsenal wants to keep all the players in the squad determined to win the Premier League title this season. This also shows that there are no problems within the squad under the management of Mikel Arteta.
The great gesture of Zinchenko will motivate Jakub Kiwior to play more brilliantly for Arsenal. It is certain that he will not start games regularly this season. This is because the defense line of the Gunners is settled. Hence, he will have to make sure that he puts in brilliant performances for the Gunners during his substitute appearances.
