Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has praised manager Mikel Arteta. This is after he was dropped to the bench against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.

However, he was dropped to manage the workload of the midfielder during the busy schedule this season. Hence, the Swiss midfielder got the perfect rest.

THE RISE OF GRANIT XHAKA UNDER MIKEL ARTETA

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has vastly improved under Mikel Arteta. The midfielder has also claimed that he was close to leaving the club. However, Arteta convinced him to stay at the club. Although, Arteta and Xhaka now think of these days as the old days. The Swiss midfielder is now a very important part of the team under Arteta.

He has played in all of the games in the Premier League. Xhaka has also captained the team in the Europa League. Many players including Gabriel Martinelli have praised the Swiss midfielder for helping them at the club. Hence, the Swiss midfielder is now one of the leaders in the Arsenal dressing room. The midfielder is also now helping the team going forward. He also remains defensively remains solid.

ARSENAL’S MANAGER IS MANAGING THE WORKLOAD OF THE PLAYERS SMARTLY

Arsenal are looking to manage the workloads of their important players this season. The schedule of this season is very tight due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this year. However, Granit Xhaka is not concerned with his game time. He said,

“I am feeling very good,” Xhaka said, as quoted by the. “Of course, every time you win it makes it a little bit easier. But, yeah, I am not worried about the minutes, or the World Cup, or the future. I don’t think it’s about my games at the moment. Really, I’m not thinking about a break. Mikel is the boss, he decides when to take me out and when not to. He did against Bodo, it was maybe perfect timing to give me a bit of a rest.

The comments by the Arsenal midfielder clearly state that Arteta is continuously in contact with his players. Hence, the Spanish manager is going to be the perfect man to lead them to glory. Granit Xhaka is also now in a happy space with the club.
