Arsenal

Arsenal dominated the manager of the month and player of the month awards. Mikel Arteta won the manager of the month. Whereas, Captain Martin Odegaard won the player of the month.

Hence, it looks like the Gunners have confidence before the important derby game against Tottenham. The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League.

ARSENAL DOMINATES THE PREMIER LEAGUE AWARDS

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta won the manager of the month award for November/ December. Whereas, Captain Martin Odegaard won the player of the month award. Hence, the Gunners dominated this month’s awards. This is also Arteta’s fourth manager of the month award. He won the award because of his wins against Chelsea, Wolves, West Ham United, and Brighton. However, many Gunners fans are also worried because of the manager of the month awards curse.

There are times when managers after winning awards start losing three to four matches in a row. Hence, it is right to have tension among the fans because the next game is a derby game against Tottenham. However, Arsenal fans should not take tension as Mikel Arteta has the right players that are performing well in almost every match this season. Hence, the focus for Mikel Arteta will be to win matches and complete the potential big signings in the January transfer window.

THE GUNNERS WILL HAVE TO MAKE SIGNINGS IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

Arsenal will have to make signings in the January transfer window. This is because their top six rivals have made signings to close the gap at the top. Hence, the Gunners must make new signings to maintain the gap at the top of the Premier League table. At the moment only Manchester City and Newcastle United have not made signings at the top of the table. However, they do not need to sign anyone as they have the squad to play well for the remainder of the season.

However, Arsenal does need to make new signings in the January transfer window. It is also to increase competition and depth within the squad. A big squad will help them manage the busy schedule in the second half of the season. Hence, the Gunners are hoping to secure the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk and a midfielder in January. The report claims that a deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk is close as the third bid was made yesterday. However, the transfer target for the midfield signing is not yet clear.

Arsenal will hope that they can win the Premier League this season. They are currently eight clear on top of Manchester City. The Gunners will also hope that they can go into the finals of both the FA Cup and the Europa League. Hence, it looks like the owners and Mikel Arteta have big ambitions in the second half of the season.
