FOOTBALL PUNDIT CLAIMS DANNY WELBECK DESERVES RESPECT FROM THE ARSENAL FANS

Football Pundit Clinton Morrison has said that Arsenal fans should not have booed Danny Welbeck. The forward won the penalty for Brighton in the first half. He also converted the penalty to give Brighton the base to get a 3-1 win in the third round of the Carabao Cup. However, after the equalizer, Danny Welbeck refused to celebrate against his former club. However, the Gunners fans booed him. It looks like Sky Sports Pundit Clinton Morrison did not like the booing from the Arsenal fans.

He further said,

Can he score against his old team? Some of the fans have been giving him a bit of stick. I don’t know why because he’s been outstanding, even when he was at Arsenal. Good penalty.”

Clinton Morrison does have a great point. The forward did his best for Arsenal and won many trophies with the club. Therefore, Arsenal fans should have not made the booing gestures.

THE GUNNERS FANS SHOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT THE CARABAO CUP ELIMINATION

Many Arsenal fans were concerned that the good form will drop after the Carabao Cup elimination. However, the Gunners should not be worried about the defeat. Mikel Arteta had played almost all the fringe players in the line-up. A number of players that were in the line-up will also be told to find new clubs in the January transfer window.

Arteta played a weak squad because he did not want to risk the fitness of his important players before the Premier League game against Wolves. Arsenal are currently first on the Premier League table and they also finished as table toppers in the Europa League. Hence, it is important that they play their best squad in these two competitions and finally get Champions League football next season.

Arsenal will now hope that they win their last Premier League before the World Cup break. They are going to play league- strugglers Wolves in the Premier League. Hence, many Gunners fans expect the team to get a win and retain their top spot in the Premier League this season.
