Arsenal currently have two brilliant options in the form of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah to lead their forward line. However, it looks like the Gunners have also found their future replacements.
The Gunners also have Florian Balogun and Khayon Edwards pushing for a place in the squad for the future seasons. Hence, Mikel Arteta will have to make sure that all four of them remain happy at the club.
ARSENAL FORWARD GABRIEL JESUS TRYING HIS BEST TO RECOVER FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON
According to reports, Arsenal injured forward Gabriel Jesus is trying his best to recover from his major injury. Mikel Arteta has also said that the player is recovering well. However, he has also said that they will not rush him back from the injury. They currently have Eddie Nketiah playing all the matches. Nketiah has also played well including the brace in the 3-2 win against Manchester United. Hence, it is clear that at times Nketiah is playing above his usual ability.
However, at sometimes it does like Eddie Nketiah gets tired of leading the line in the every game for 90 minutes. This thing was also clearly visible during the 1-0 latest loss against Everton. Hence, Arsenal do need Gabriel Jesus back to add squad depth. This will also again pus Eddie Nketiah to score more goals and play well to keep his place in the starting line up. However, it also looks like Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus need to be ready for their future competition for leading the line.
THE GUNNERS ALREADY HAVE TWO EXCITING FORWARDS WAITING ON THE SIDELINES FOR THE FUTURE SEASON
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will also be happy with the two exciting forward options for the future. They are Florian Balogun and Khayon Edwards. Both the players are pushing in their own ways to make their stake for the next season. Florian Balogun is currently the leading goal scorer in the Ligue 1 in France with Reims on loan. There were also rumours of him getting recalled after the injury to Gabriel Jesus. However, the Gunners decided to keep him at Reims till the end of the season. It is because he is continuing his brilliant development with regular game time for the Ligue 1 club.
Whereas, Khayon Edwards is scoring goals in the Premier League 2 for fun. They have also included him as a substitute in the Europa League games. Hence, it is clear that the Arsenal coaching staff are aware of his goal scoring abilities. He has scored 27 goals in 54 matches in the U18 and U21 matches this season. Hence, this means he has goal every two matches. Therefore, it is looking like Florian Balogun will try to make a place in the squad. Whereas, Khayon Edwards will hope to go on loan for regular game time to get an idea of the top level football.
Hence, it looks Arsenal will not have to spend a dime on the forwards in their next transfer windows. However, Mikel Arteta will also have to make sure that he gets the best out of Khayon Edwards and Florian Balogun. He has already got the best out of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. This is the reason, they are top of the Premier League this season.
