Arsenal reportedly want Florian Balogun to stay with Reims till the end of the season. It is also because they want him to continue his goal scoring form with the French club.

Gabriel Jesus is also recovering well from his long-term injury suffered during the World Cup. Hence, there is a chance that the Brazilian striker will start playing again in the next few weeks.

ARSENAL LOANEE FLORIAN BALOGUN IS CURRENTLY ONE OF THE BEST YOUNG STRIKERS OF THE WORLD

According to reports, Arsenal considered recalling Florian Balogun from his loan after the injury to Gabriel Jesus. However, Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar decided against it. It is because they wanted Balogun to continue his development and goalscoring form with Reims. They did not want to derail his brilliant progress this season. However, it is clear that the young England forward is part of their long-term plans. Hence, the Gunners made the choice to not insert the buy-option clause in his loan deal.

A report also claims that Arsenal see his transfer value rising to 50 million till the end of the season. Hence, the Gunners made sure that he signed a long term contract before loaning him out for the season. Therefore, the Gunners were in no hurry to recall him from his loan spell for the second half of the season. However, the main reason for not recalling Balogun is the on-time recovery for star striker Gabriel Jesus from his long-term injury.

MIKEL ARTETA PROVIDES AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE RECOVERY OF GABRIEL JESUS

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the recovery of Gabriel Jesus is going well at the moment. Hence, there is also a chance that the striker starts training with the team by the end of the month. However, Mikel Arteta has also said that he would not like the Brazilian striker to rush him back from his injury. This is because a second continuous injury will end his season. It will also hamper the club’s chances of winning the Premier League and Europa League this season.

The Arsenal manager further said, “With him I don’t know. With him he wants to be here next week but it’s totally unrealistic. He’s pushing and driving everyone to the limits. I cannot give you an answer. Hopefully it will be weeks and not months but it was a serious injury and we need to respect that process as well. Hence, the quick recovery of Jesus clearly indicates that Mikel Arteta made the right decision by not recalling Florian Balogun from his loan spell.

Arsenal loanee Florian Balogun will hope to continue his goalscoring form for Reims till the end of the season. He has scored 14 goals this season. Florian is currently the highest goal scorer in French league ahead Mbappe, Neymar and Messi. Hence, it is clear that the Gunners will have to find a plan quickly to play him regularly next season.
