Arsenal are looking to wrap up the deal for Gabriel Jesus as the player underwent medical yesterday. The club are also going to step up its pursuit of Raphinha.

Gabriel Jesus has been widely touted as Arsenal prime target for the summer. The Gunners were locked in negotiations for weeks with Manchester City trying to get the deal agreed for the Brazilian. A breakthrough was reached over the weekend. According to the reports, the 25-year-old already completed his medical yesterday. A deal worth £45m was agreed with City.

ARSENAL AND GABRIEL JESUS TRANSFER SAGA FINALLY COMES TO AN END

However, some finer details are still left to complete the deal. Some reports also claim the forward has already signed a five-year contract. The contract will be worth around £ 193,000 a week [£10m per season] at the Emirates stadium.

Jesus wanted to leave City as he had only one year on his contract left and he had fallen down the pecking order following the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Hence, he wanted to leave. Due to his great relationship with Arteta, the forward has decided to join Arsenal.

GUNNERS TALKS WITH LEEDS FOR RAPHINHA SCHEDULED

Gabriel Jesus may not be the last Brazilian to join the club this summer. According to reports, Arsenal are now pushing ahead for a move for Leeds United winger Raphinha. Several sources are reporting Arsenal will submit a second improved offer having seen their opening bid rejected.

Leeds are demanding £65m for the 25-year-old’s signature. However, sources suggest a deal closer to £50m can be agreed with the Yorkshire outfit. Although, Raphinha still favors a move to Barcelona. But, the Spanish giants are unable to compete financially. This means Chelsea and Gunners are in pole position.

We will have to wait and see how things progress in the coming days. Although, Arsenal are hoping to pull off a potential swoop for two Brazilian players. If they can pull off both signings, it would be a real statement of intent from Arsenal.
