Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke have reportedly secured a credit facility to aid their January transfer to spend. Hence, it looks like the Gunners will finally get Mykhaylo Mudryk.
However, the credit facility will also help the Gunners in certain problematic financial situations. Although, there is hope that the credit facility will help them indirectly in the January transfer window.
ARSENAL OWNER SECURES A CREDIT FACILITY TO AID THEIR JANUARY SPENDING
According to documents, Arsenal have secured a credit facility of 70 million from Barclays Bank. The report also claims that the facility will help them spend more indirectly in the January transfer window. However, there will be no impact directly. This is because the credit facility can only be used during exceptional situations. Although, the money will help play around with Financial Fair Play (FFP). Hence, it looks like the Gunners are doing everything to secure the possible signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk as quickly as possible.
This is because of the sudden emergence of Chelsea in the race. According to reports, the Blues are ready to pay a higher fee than Arsenal for Mykhaylo Mudryk. However, the reports also claim that the Gunners are not panicking at the moment. Although, they are aware that the Blues will offer him a higher salary. Hence, Mikel Arteta hopes that the credit facility will help in securing the signature of Mykhaylo Mudryk. The report also claims that the winger has agreed to personal terms with the Gunners.
THE GUNNERS WILL ALSO HAVE TO FOCUS ON OUTGOINGS TO INCREASE THEIR FUNDS FOR THE JANUARY WINDOW
According to certain reports, Arsenal will also have to sell some fringe players in the January transfer window. The potential outgoings will also help them balance their financial books for this season. However, at the moment, Mikel Arteta has not yet made a list of players he is open to selling and loaning in the January transfer window. However, there are certain players in the squad that are open to exiting from the Gunners in the January transfer window.
The report claim that Albert Sambi Lokonga, Rob Holding, and Cedric Soares want to leave the club in the January transfer window. It also claims that the Gunners are also open to loaning out winger Marquinhos in the second half of the season. However, Mikel Arteta will only let him leave on loan after completing the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk. Hence, certain pieces will have to fall in place for Arsenal to complete their incomings and outgoings in the January transfer window.
The report also claims that Arsenal owners are ready to give 100 million to Mikel Arteta to spend in the January transfer window. However, the budget will likely increase due to the potential outgoings and the credit facility. Hence, the Gunners are hopeful that they can complete their January signings within the Financial Fair play rules.
