Arsenal will reportedly try to sign a new midfielder in the January transfer window. This is to release the pressure on the current midfielders.
It is also because they are currently on the top of the Premier League table. Therefore, the Gunners will need to sign reinforcements in January to continue the title challenge.

According to reports, Arsenal will try to sign a midfielder in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the recruitment team has started the search for the midfielder. This signing will also help to reduce the load on Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey. They continue to be linked with Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
However, the Brazilian midfielder has just signed a new contract. Although, some reports also claim that they have done this protect the transfer value of the midfielder. Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison has said that the Gunners need to sign a midfielder in January. However, he has said that they can play Oleksandr Zinchenko in the midfield. Hence, Arsenal hierarchy will probably sanction funds to Arteta to sign a new midfielder in the January transfer window. The Gunners are currently on the top of the Premier League table. They face Leeds United in their next Premier League fixture.
