Arsenal youngster is reportedly impressing manager Mikel Arteta in his loan spell. The midfielder is currently on loan at Championship side Blackpool.
He is impressing the Gunners staff on his loan spell with the Championship club. Hence, the Gunners are looking to offer him a contract extension.
THE RISE OF THE MIDFIELDER ON LOAN AT BLACKPOOL
According to reports, Charlie Patino is impressing Arsenal on his loan spell at Blackpool. The midfielder was loaned out to the struggling Championship side in the summer transfer window. Hence, he was immediately given a chance to prove himself. Therefore, the midfielder took the chance with both hands. The midfielder impressed Blackpool manager Michael Appleton with his brilliant performance against Sunderland.
However, the midfielder suffered an injury recently. Although, the injury is not as bad as feared. However, the midfielder will not be available for a number of weeks. Hence, Arsenal should be happy that the loan move is benefitting the youngster. Blackpool manager Michael Appleton even said,
“Charlie is one of the best midfielders in his age group,”
THE FUTURE OF CHARLIE PATINO AT ARSENAL
According to reports, the Gunners will negotiate a new contract with the young midfielder. The brilliant form of Charlie Patino on loan will now make the new contract extension more smooth. Hence, the future of Patino at Arsenal is looking bright. The contract of the midfielder is set to expire in the next summer window. However, they have an option to extend his contract for two more years. Although, they will have to exercise the option before a certain date.
The report also confirms Arsenal will exercise the option to extend his contract by two more years. However, it also claims that the Gunners will immediately start negotiations for a long-term contract extension with his agent. The Gunners manager Mikel Arteta will no doubt try to secure the future of another brilliant home-grown youngster.
Arsenal will also look to extend the contracts of other youngsters that are on loans like Florian Balogun, Nuno Tavares, and Auston Trusty. Another report also claims that the representatives of the club were present to watch Charlie Patino play against Watford.
