Auston Trusty reportedly has the potential to be included in future plans for Arsenal. The defender is currently on loan at Birmingham City.
However, he is impressing many plaudits with his abilities. Hence, there is a chance that Trusty can play in the top European competitions with the Gunners
THE FUTURE OF AUSTAN TRUSTY AT ARSENAL
According to Brian Dick, Austan Trusty has a bright future at Arsenal. He also adds that he has the potential to be a star player in the future for the Gunners. Auston Trusty was signed by the Gunners in the January transfer window last season. However, the Gunners decided to keep him in the States for the remainder of the season.
Although, Mikel Arteta wanted to loan out Trusty in the leagues of English league. Hence, he was loaned out to Birmingham City for this season. It looks like the defender has impressed on loan. The fans have also loved him. Brian Dick said,
“Blues supporters have really taken to him and he to them, he celebrates hard and with as little inhibition as any of his team-mates at the end of games. He really seems to enjoy the ‘USA, USA, USA’ chant fans have for him. So far, the loan is working well for all parties.”
MIKEL ARTETA WILL ALSO MONITOR HIS PERFORMANCE ON LOAN FOR BIRMINGHAM CITY
The report also adds that the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is also having a close look at his performances on loan. It might due to the uncertain futures of Pablo Mari and Rob Holding. Pablo Mari is on loan at Monza with an obligation clause. Whereas, Rob Holding is linked with a move away from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Hence, Arsenal will have to make a decision on the future of Auston Trusty before signing a new center-back in the next transfer window. Brian Dick also said,
“ I would imagine he’d be with Arteta’s squad for pre-season and he’ll make a call from there. Trusty is definitely someone for Arsenal fans to track this season, his development arc is interesting and he’s a very, very likable guy.
Auston Trusty is a left-footed center-back. Hence, he would a direct future replacement for Gabriel Magalhaes in the defense department. However, for all the parties including Arsenal, the loan spell is going brilliant for this season.
