According to reports, Arsenal is in talks to extend the contract of Bukayo Saka. The reports also claim that the talks are going in the right direction. However, both parties have not agreed. Although, both parties feel that an agreement is just a matter of time. In the last few weeks, the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has also made it clear that the extension of Saka is a priority for the club.
The Arsenal star was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy. Kopa Trophy is given to the best U-21 player in the world. However, he only finished eighth on the list. Although, many fans on Twitter made it clear that he deserved to finish higher on the list. His displays are also getting praise from the footballing legends. The legends include Ronaldinho and Marco Van Basten.
SAKA IS WINNING PRAISE FROM NUMEROUS LEGENDARY FOOTBALLERS
Bukayo Saka is impressing legendary footballers with his skills. In one of the Ballon D’or interviews, Ronaldinho, Marco Van Basten, and Guilt have called the Arsenal winger a future Ballon d’Or. They have also called him one of the best youngsters in the world currently. Hence, his stature in world football is going to increase in the coming years.
Therefore, it is very important that Arsenal secure his future. The player also said in one of the interviews that he sees his future with the Premier League club. Mikel Arteta also said,
“I am very confident that we as a club and Bukayo, his family, his agent, everybody, we are very much aligned in what we want to achieve. And now it is about putting it on a piece of paper.”
Arsenal is also looking to extend the contracts of Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba. They have also recently announced the contract extension of Gabriel Magalhaes. Hence, it is clear that the hierarchy of the club is looking to keep the core players of the club for a long time.
