Aston Villa has gone on and produced one of the finest youngsters in English Football. Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka is a Villa Park Academy graduate. Hailed by many to be the next big thing in the Premier League. Compared with the likes of Paul Pogba and Delle Ali, The 18-year-old has made 11 appearances in the premier league this season.
Goal has ranked him in the top 40 best youngsters in world football. Ranked at Number 37, he is above many notable youngsters such as Brazilian wunderkind Endrick and Arsenal’s Marcelo Flores. In March 2020, Aston Villa CEO Christian Purslow claimed they had the 16-year-old in England with them. Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool have all been previously linked with him and were considering signing him.
Aston Villa Decision on Chukwuemeka
Chukwuemeka was considering a move away from Villa Park due to lack of game time but this changed under Steven Gerrard who called him up to the first team. He has received a decent amount of game time and is showcasing his talent. His contract runs till the Summer of 2023.
In his 11 appearances in the premier league, the Midfielder has impressed many with his performances. Under Legendary English Footballer Steven Gerrard, he is learning the tricks of the trade and with time could be recognized as one of the finest players to play in the Premier League.
Steven Gerrard wants Chukwuemeka at the club and believes he will stay regardless of any rumors. Gerrard wants him to stay at Villa Park and unlock his true potential. Aston Villa will take on Wolves at 2nd April at Molineux Stadium.
