Atletico Madrid left out Joao Felix from the squad amid the Arsenal and Manchester United rumors

Felix

Atletico Madrid left out Joao Felix from the squad amid the Arsenal and Manchester United rumors. However, the La Liga giants won the game without the Portuguese forward.

The game was against Real Oviedo in the Copa del Rey. Hence, this is a surprise as Diego Simeone generally starts Joao Felix in the cup and less important games of the season.

ARSENAL AND MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE SERIOUS INTEREST IN JOAO FELIX

According to reports, Arsenal and Manchester United are planning to make loan bids for Atletico forward Joao Felix. The La Liga giants are also open to loaning him out for the rest of the season. However, they are not ready to include a buy option in the loan clause. Another problem is the loan fee demand of the La Liga side. A report also claims that they are asking for a loan fee of 19 million. Hence, the player’s agent Jorge Mendes is going to have a meeting with them.

Jorge Mendes is going to ask Atletico Madrid to reduce their loan demands. This is because Arsenal and Manchester United have serious interests. Another advantage is also that both clubs are offering him European football. Hence, there is a possibility that the forward is open to a possible loan move in January move. To add to all of this, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has added more fuel to the Premier League rumors.

ATLETICO MADRID LEAVE OUT THE PORTUGUESE FORWARD FOR THE COPA DEL REY GAME

Diego Simeone has added more fuel to the transfer rumor. He decided to not include Joao Felix in the squad for their Copa Del Rey game against Real Oviedo. They won the game 2-0. However, the omission of Joao Felix was surprising. This is because the Portuguese forward generally starts in the cup games this season. Hence, it looks like suddenly both Manchester United and Arsenal have a chance to sign him on loan in the summer transfer window.

A number of reports also claim that Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is in regular contact with Joao Felix. They both were together at Atletico Madrid. The La Liga club’s chief executive officer Gill Martin has also said they are open to offers for Joao Felix. He further said,

“Joao Felix is top level but because of his relationship with Simeone and game time, we feel that it makes sense to consider potential bids to sell him.”

There are also claims that the La Liga clubs are also ready to reduce their demands.

However, Atletico Madrid will only loan him out for the remainder of the season. This is because they will analyze the long-term solution for all the parties in the next summer transfer window. Hence, Arsenal and Manchester United have to make their plans according to their convincing and paying abilities to lure Joao Felix.
