BARCELONA ARE READY TO ACTIVATE ANOTHER LEVER

According to reports, Barcelona are ready to activate the fourth lever for the club. On Monday, the Catalan giants activated their third lever. The lever included selling a 24.5% share of Barca studios to socios. com. The move was to reportedly to help them to register the new signings of the summer. There were a few rumors that the club were having problems registering them.

Hence, the third lever was activated. However, it seems the club won’t stop at this. The manager and the board want more signings to arrive this summer. Hence, the report indicates the club are now ready to activate the fourth lever. This lever will include the selling of another 24.5% shares of Barca studios. Barcelona wants a team that can challenge for every title in the upcoming season.

FOR WHICH SIGNINGS ARE THEY ACTIVATING THE FOURTH LEVER?

The Catalans have received approval from the assembly to sell 49% of the stake in Barca studios. Half of which already has been sold for €100 million. Barcelona expects to make the same amount from the selling of the other half. The club will reportedly use the funds to sign more players. The report also states that the club is looking to bring at least three players from the activation of the fourth lever.

Xavi is looking to bring a left-back, a right-back and a new midfielder in case Frenkie De Jong leaves the club. The club are reportedly mining up moves for Chelsea duo Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta for left-back and right-back positions respectively. Barcelona are targeting Bernando Silva for the central midfield signing. However, the Frenkie De Jong sale is important for buying Silva.

The activation of the fourth economic lever and the potential sale of De-Jong and other players should help the club make new signings. However, final decisions are still being made on whether to activate the fourth lever so fast.
