The Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma has been linked to both Pep Guardiola’s Man City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. According to 90min, Kaoru Mitoma of Brighton is a player that both Liverpool and Man City have shown an interest in signing.
Serie A champions Napoli and La Liga champions FC Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Mitoma. West Ham United midfielder Jarrod Bowen praised Mitoma as “direct” and “incredible” on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport earlier this month.
Although, Brighton are trying to persuade Mitoma to sign a new contract. According to a report from 90min, Brighton is sure that the Japan international will sign a new contract before the year is up.
Kaoru Mitoma might depart from Brighton next season and reportedly join either Liverpool or City
Even if Kaoru Mitoma inks a new contract in the following months, then also, Liverpool or Man City may be able to sign him away from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2024.
Even if they do so for a lot of money, Brighton does frequently sell its finest players.
During the summer transfer window, the Seagulls made a huge profit on Moises Caicedo. They also parted ways with Alexis MacAllister. Caicedo went to Chelsea and Mac Allister joined Liverpool. Additionally, they sold Robert Sanchez to Chelsea.
In recent seasons, Brighton has been successful in assembling a talented team. They appear to be strong enough despite having authorised the exits of Mac Allister and Caicedo earlier this summer for a large amount of money.
Mitoma, who is currently 26-years old, is approaching his prime. If Liverpool or Manchester City made a move for the Japanese winger, he might be persuaded to leave Brighton. After all, the Reds and the Cityzens are bigger clubs that frequently compete for and win significant trophies.
In the Premier League, Mitoma has played in 37 games so far in his career. In those games, the winger has scored eight goals and provided eight assists.
