Liverpool legend and pundit Jamie Carragher suggests Aston Villa manager Unai Emery might soon be leave club for bigger opportunities elsewhere.

Emery has been a sensation since replacing Steven Gerrard last year. Since his arrival, Villa has been in top form as they are currently fifth in the Premier League Table.

Before arriving again in the Premier League, the Spaniard built up his reputation with Villarreal. Previously, he had a failed spell with Arsenal.

After managing PSG, Emery took charge of the Gunners, but the Spaniard struggled in both of this opportunities. However, he has changed his fortune at Villa Park after successful spell with Villarreal.

With Villa enjoying an impressive run, Carragher suggests Emery will soon leave the club for bigger opportunities.

Carragher discussed the matter and told The Telegraph :-

“Aston Villa should cherish Unai Emery while they can. It is a matter of time before an established Champions League club makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Sorry to put a dampener on Villa fans’ upbeat mood, but this is the reality of the sport.

“Owners and sporting directors can see the quality and impact of Emery’s work at Villa Park and he will be on their wanted lists. After his experiences at Arsenal and Paris St-Germain, Emery is a coach with unfinished business at the top level.

“Over the last 12 months, no coach in Europe has had such a profound impact at a club of Villa’s stature. You can guarantee it will not be long before he is coaching in the Champions League again. There is a big chance that will be with Villa next season. If not, there will be a queue of clubs at Unai Emery’s door.”

Despite rumours, Emery is keeping focus on his current club

Despite rumours, Unai Emery is keeping focus on the present as Villa travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend. The Spaniard said :-

“I have to be in good balance when we are winning and when we are losing. I have to be very clinical in my analysis of how we can improve and never be relaxed because we are always facing very difficult matches.

“On Sunday, it’s the same. I don’t want to stop and I want to continue progressing. I want to be very demanding with each player in every match we are going to face. We have to try to connect with our supporters and try to play for them.

“It’s important to be focused on each match and try to be ambitious in our focus, in how we can improve, in how we can get the three points on Sunday and how we can keep our position in the table.”
