Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reveals the message his former teammate shared. The former Arsenal teammate was Alexandre Lacazette.
Hence, there were some jokes made by the French striker before he signed for the Blues. They also have managed to keep their friendship going for years.
THE UNCHARACTERISTIC START OF THE SEASON FOR CHELSEA
Chelsea is currently having a different season. The Blues are currently in mixed form in both the Champions League and Europa League. They had a poor start to the season. Hence, Thomas Tuchel was sacked by the new owner Todd Boehly. Therefore, they poached Graham Potter from Brighton. Hence, the future of the players that arrived in the summer came to doubt.
One of the new Chelsea signings was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The forward arrived from Barcelona this season to solve the goals problem. He is one of the favorite players of former coach Thomas Tuchel. Hence, many thought the forward would not have any future under Graham Potter. However, the Gabonese forward has quashed all the weird thoughts.
THE CONVERSATION OF PIERE EMERICK AUBAMEYANG AND ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently in brilliant form for the Blues. The forward was on the scoresheet against AC Milan in the Champions League. This goal also kept their hopes to advance in the next round of the Champions League. The forward has scored 3 goals in the last 3 games. Two goals of that have come in the Champions League.
However, Aubameyang has revealed Alexandre Lacazette was not happy with his move. Both of them played at Arsenal. He said,
” Even before, when he’d just heard the rumours, he was like ‘nah, really?’ I said ‘I can’t do it’ [shrugging his shoulders].”
The conversation is not a surprise as Arsenal and Chelsea are rivals for a number of years.
However, the conversation will not matter for Chelsea and Aubameyang. The Blues will only want the forward to keep continuing scoring goals for the club. He will have a chance to extend his brilliant form against the struggling Aston Villa.
