According to former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Declan Rice could sign a new long term deal at West Ham United if they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Declan Rice is without any doubt the most valuable prospect at West Ham. Declan played a very crucial part in West Ham’s Europa League qualification last season. And again played a key role in England’s run to the UEFA Euro 202 final. West Ham have once again started the season on a high and Rice has been in great form too.
They have won five games out of a possible nine in the Premier League. And are unbeaten in their Europa League campaign and sit on top of Group H. Rice has not missed a single minute of action in the Premier League this term.
Declan Rice to stay at West Ham?
Paul Robinson talking about Declan Rice’s future said “Declan Rice’s future will be dependent on West Ham’s season,” “We know they got into the top six last season. Can they do it consistently over a season now and get into the Champions League? We are yet to see if West Ham can match his ambitions. And the level that he wants to be at.”
He added, “If they are in the Champions League at the end of the season. He may well sign a new contract. But unless they are in those top-four spots at the end of the year, I can’t see him staying.”
His rise from the West Ham academy and his rise into West Ham first team and England’s national team has not gone unnoticed. Rice has been linked to Premier League giants like Chelsea and Manchester United. Declan Rice is under contract with West Ham United until 2024.
