Here we have with us the Everton player ratings against Brentford in the 4th round of the FA Cup. This was the first match Everton played after their new appointment of Frank Lampard as the manager. A 4-1 victory on his debut match could be considered as a very good result for the Toffees. The fans must have loved the display from Everton because of what they have seen before Lampard was appointed.

Everton opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a pinpoint corner from Demarai Gray and a great climb by Yerry Mina to head the ball in the goal. Moreover, the Toffees doubled their lead just after halftime with a good aerial through ball from Allan to Richarlison who chipped the goalkeeper.

Brentford tried to get their way back into the game as they pulled one back in the 54th minute with a penalty from Ivan Toney. However, Everton did not look back as they scored their third goal. A good corner by Demarai Gray made it difficult for Brentford players to clear and Holgate was ready to tap in with his head.

Everton scored the fourth late into the game after a good linkup play gets Andros Townsend some time on the ball to finish at the near post. Frank Lampard and his team have now entered the 5th round of the FA Cup. They will have to get adjusted to Lampard’s system faster as the games will be coming quickly and thin.

Jordan Pickford – 5/10

Made a good save against Sergi Canos but was at fault for conceding the penalty and also failing a clearance.

A brilliant display from the start to the end of the game. Moreover, he got the goal he deserved, started on right but shifted to the left as Godfrey went off injured.

Michael Keane – 7/10

He was solid and gave Toney trouble throughout the first half. However, got a bit relaxed after Everton went 2-0 up.

Started the game well and also created a chance for Richarlison. Nevertheless, he had to limp off injured in just the 14th minute.
