Everton midfielder Richarlison has asked the club to sell him in the Summer. Everton are at the bottom of the table however they are above the relegation zone.
Richarlison’s request come in after their win against Manchester United. Everton had to be on their ‘A-game when they defeated United. However, they still remain at the bottom of the table. The lack of European football in recent years may be a reason Richarlison wants to leave.
Everton signed the Brazilian back in 2018. He joined from Watford and has amassed 49 goals and assisted 13 more times in his 145 appearances for the club. This year, he has found the back of the net 7 times and assisted in finding the net 4 times, More than every other Everton player.
Richarlison’s leaving would be a major blow for Frank Lampard and his men. The 24-year-old is a crucial player and his absence has caused Everton issues in the past. However, the club needs to accept his wishes rather than create another “Harry Kane” situation.
Bought at a price of 35m, Richarlison’s contract runs till the end of the 2024 season. Richarlison is a very hot property in world football. Teams within the League have shown interest in him most notably Manchester United, and Chelsea. Everton could gain a considerable profit from selling Richarlison somewhere around 50-60m.
Everton desperately needs to find a replacement for the Brazilian midfielder in the Summer if he is leaving. Nabil Fekir or David Neres may be a good replacement for him however it is to be seen if they move to a club with little hopes of European football.
Where should Richarlison move?
Richarlison should force a move within the League. Somewhere like Chelsea or Manchester United would do him a world of good. However, he would have a much better time in Italy where the games are slower. A club like AC Milan are desperate for a proper midfielder and Richarlison could fill in the spot.
