Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Malang Sarr. The defender is expected to leave Stamford Bridge before the start of the season.
The London team is also looking to improve the team after promotion. Marco Silva’s side is reportedly in the market for a center-back.
CHELSEA ARE KEEN TO OFFLOAD MALANG SARR
Malang Sarr has three years left on his current deal. However, Thomas Tuchel is looking to offload him before this season. The Blues are in the market for a center-back. They have already missed out on Jules Kounde. He has already joined Barcelona. Although, Chelsea have managed to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli despite interest from other top European sides.
Chelsea are currently scouting for another center-back. They are also looking to offload a number of players that are not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans. It looks like Malang Sarr is one of them. Although, it looks like Chelsea will not have to offer him around. Fulham are reportedly very interested in him. However, it is not yet clear whether the defender is open to a move to the Cottagers.
MALANG SARR AND FULHAM TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, Fulham have already put in a bid for Malang Sarr. The bid is reportedly is both a permanent bid and a loan bid with a buy option. The report also states that the Cottagers have put in bids for four center-backs. This is due to Fulham releasing center-backs Alfie Mawson and Michael Hector.
Marco Silva reportedly wants a center-back on the team before the season starts. The report also adds that Fulham are now increasingly confident about signing Bernd Leno from Arsenal. There were reports about the deal being stalled over Arsenal valuation demands. However, it seems both the clubs are finally coming close to an agreement. Leno has already agreed personal terms with the club.
Malang Sarr joined the Blues on a free transfer in the summer of 2020. He was then loaned out to Porto for the same season. The next season Sarr made 22 appearances in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel. However, he has failed to cement a starting place on the team.
