Football pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has said that Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has not yet earned a place in the England national team. The winger is not in the current national squad.

His teammates are all set to play against Germany and Italy. However, the winger is closer to a return to the squad in the World Cup.

THE INITIAL STRUGGLES OF JADON SANCHO AT MANCHESTER UNITED

Jadon Sancho was signed by Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for a mega fee. Many expected him to get goals and assist for the Premier League team. However, the forward struggled to create any sort of positive impact. The sacking of Ole Gunnar Solsjaker also did not help. Ralf Ragnick was also unable to get anything out of him.

Hence, he only managed to score only five goals and provide three assists last season. After the season, many even expected him to start on the bench for Manchester United in the new season. However, it looks like Erik Ten Hag has given him back the confidence he had at Dortmund. The forward is currently in impressive form for United.

GABBY AGBONLAHOR STILL THINKS JADON SANCHO IS NOT YET READY FOR NATIONAL DUTIES

Jadon Sancho was a regular on the national team before signing for Red Devils. However, he has been not selected for international duty in recent times for his bad form. Although, Sancho is now starting to play well for Manchester United. The winger is now linking up well with his teammates after a bad start to the season. However, it looks like Gabby Agbonlahor is of a different opinion.

He wants Sancho to do more for his selection for the national team. The former England international said,

I don’t think he deserves to be in it yet. Yes, his form has improved but he’s still got a lot to do, for me. I probably would have picked him before Bowen because I feel in the last month he’s done more than Bowen has.”

. However, he has urged Sancho to continue his impressive form to get selected to play in the World Cup.

Jadon Sancho has scored three goals in eight games for Manchester United this season. The player is also now a constant threat from wings under Erik Ten Hag. Hence, the exclusion of Jadon Sancho from the national squad for the latest games was a big surprise to England fans.
