Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to sell Joaquin Correa to Newcastle United this summer. The Serie-A side are looking to recoup some money.

Correa joined Inter last summer from Lazio. It was on a season-long deal with an obligation to make the transfer permanent. Although, he only managed only 14 starts of the 31 matches last term. This is despite Simeone Inzaghi being a big supporter of the former Sevilla forward.

Now, according to reports Inter are ready to sell Joaquin Correa this summer with only Newcastle United interested. Inter isn’t interested in selling him for small sums. The hope is to get a big fat cheque out of Newcastle. They are valuing the forward at 25million. With both Lukaku and Dybala close to signing, Inter are likely to offload some forwards this summer.

THE MAGPIES MEAN BUSINESS THIS SUMMER

The Argentina international only scored six goals in 31 matches last season. His performances were below-par sometimes. He also struggled to get into the manager’s starting XI on a regular basis. However, Eddie Howe likes him as an all-round player.

The Magpies are currently monitoring the situation. Newcastle have already signed Matt Target, and Nick Pope and are very close to signing Sven Botman. Although, they have failed to land any forwards this summer. Hugo Etikite is looking a dead deal for this summer. The priority for the Magpies is to sign a center-forward and right-wing player.

The forward has the ability to create and exploit free space. He also makes effective off-the-ball runs for his team. He maintains a great profile. This would be a delight for Eddie Howe. It is no wonder why the Newcastle boss is so invested in him. However, Howe could secure the services of the forward. The chances are great as they are the only ones in the race to sign Correa.
