IPL 2021: The orange cap belongs to CSK while the Purple cup secured by RCB

The young talent from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cemented his presence in Vivo IPL 2021 with various awards in the finals and Harshal Patel (RCB) was one of the cricketers who had the most memorable season this year. While Venkatesh Iyer is the third talent who was praised throughout the second half of the game. He was the replacement of Andre Russel after the shoulder injury for KKR.

The 24-year-old Ruturaj Gaikwad took the opportunity of playing for one of the most successful teams and created history. He registered 635 runs in 16 matches in the IPL 2021. Simultaneously, Harshal Patel gave his best in this edition of IPL and took the purple cap by his name. And not just that, Harshal tied the record that Dwayne Bravo created when he took 32 wickets in a single season of IPL. Harshal would have gotten past his record if RCB could have played one or two more matches. But they lost in the eliminator against KKR.

IPL 2021: CSK, RCB, KKR and DC gave their best

Faf du Plessis’ knock helped CSK score a huge target on the Dubai pitch and kept KKR on the losing side. CSK won the finals with 27 runs and the celebration was at par on the occasion of Dusshera.

Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. Though, Kolkata lost to Chennai in the finals and lost the battle. But all the four teams that qualified won the hearts of fans as they gave their best.

Ruturaj Gaikwad won the Orange cap because he scored the highest runs in the IPL this season. And on the other hand, Harshal Patel won the Purple cap with the highest number of wickets in IPL 2021.

Venkatesh Iyer and Harshal Patel won three awards each, Gaikwad one two awards. These uncapped Indian talents have a bright future ahead. And with this, IPL 2021 came to an end. MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings won their fourth title and had the last laugh.
