Is it over for Traore and Villa park?

tennis player

Traore in his Last season led Villa to a 11th place finish. Especially when the beginnings promised a lot with the 7-2 thumping win at Villa park. Traore contributed 14 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions. The arrival of Bailey, Ings, Buendia choked his game time for the rest of the season. With just eight appearances and one premier league start this season under Gerrard, it seems like the odd are stacked against him.

Steven Gerrard has alerady left his mark on Aston Villa with addition of players like Phillipe Coutinho who has resurected his carer with 4 goals and setting up 3  in 11 mathches, Lucas Digne who has been a corner stone at left back accompanied by Calum chambers and Robin Olsen.

Although it was a positive news for the team and it’s aspiring owners but it didn’t meant positive for existing players as a gurantee in the form of less game time which was previously hanging on their head just became real. £17m Burkino Faso international and ex-Chelsea wide thrived with Ajax and Lyon in European competition. Leading his country to an narrow 4th place finish in AFCON, Bertrand Traore is one of them.

Should Traore leave Villa Park?

Steven Gerrard along with the new visionary owners are planning for a major shake up in the squad ahead of the summer transfer window hoping to bring some quality and fresh talent into the team. With 4 straight defeats before the last 7 remaining fixtures, Gerrard should give Traore some game time.

Traore playing style is similar to a No. 10 and will surely thrive along side Coutinho as he did with Jack Grealish. According to reports, Gerrard is ready to let go as many as 8 players and Traore seems to one them.

Game time is a necessity for 26 year old Burkina Faso international especially with the ability he posses. This summer would be the right time for Traore to find a new club. As his time at Villa Park has quickly turned from first team player to just a squad player. With roughly an month left, Traore is too good to be left out and deserves a chance.
