Juan Mata and Old Trafford

Ten Hag wants a coach who knows the dressing room well and can make them comfortable. Ex-Man Utd stars such as Van Persie and Jaap Stam have been linked with this role.

But it has been very long since they came near managing any dressing room. While this can be a possibility, the goodbye waving are suggesting something else. An embarks on a new chapter of his career and is probably far away from Old Trafford.

Signed by David Moyes in the winter of 2014 for 37.1 million. Mata went on to score 51 times, assisting 47 times across 284 appearances. In recent times, Mata has seen very low game time and thankfully the dreadful season has finally come to an end. It’ll be great to have the Spaniard at the club when he decides to hang his boots.
