Leicester City looking to sign Charles De Ketelaere

Leicester City will enter into an intense bidding war between them and AC Milan for Club Brugge’s Charles De Ketelaere. Belgian journalist Alexandre Breackman broke the possible transfer rumours of the attacker during the summer transfer window.

The 21 year old is on the sight of the Foxes scouts since January. But their failure to secure European football next season might complicate a move to King Power Stadium as the player is looking for it.

Previous reports said that De Ketelaere’s ideal club would offer him Champions League football and AC Milan can. However, the Serie A champions are also in the race to sign Noah Lang, De Ketelaere’s teammate.

What Charles De Ketelaere will bring to Leicester

De Ketelaere has 2 years remaining on his current contract at the Belgian club. But he showed no real intention to extend his contract beyond that for the Jan Breydel Stadium outfit.

The player enjoyed a decent season in Juniper Pro League last term. He scored a total of 14 goals and registered 7 assists to his name in 33 apps. Additionally, the player comes in handy anywhere in the forward line, proving to be a valuable asset for his team.

According to the Belgian journalist Alexandre Breackman, there will be a contest between the Foxes and Rossoneri. He tweeted:

“We are heading towards an intense duel between Leicester and AC Milan for Charles De Ketelaere. The situation has not changed in Bruges: price of 40M €. Redeemed, Milan can now line up. Leicester have not given any news in recent days.”

Leicester City were in the pole position in the past to sign the Belgian. But now the Brendan Rodgers-led side will face competition from the Serie A outfit for his signature. Rodgers will look to bring around 5 or 6 new faces as he needs to shake his squad ahead of the start of the new campaign.
