Leicester City will be hosting Leeds United on Saturday. The fixture will take place at 6:00 pm IST on 5th March at King Power Stadium. Leicester City will play their 25th match of the league whereas Leeds United will be playing their 27th match of the league. Both clubs are suffering to get results as good as they did last season.

Leicester City are not consistent enough to be in the top half of the league table. They are finding it hard to finish the games and secure a win. They are currently 12th on the Premier League table with 30 points. However, there have been a few really good displays of what they are capable of this season. They could use that to get 3 points against a struggling Leeds United.

Leeds United have recently parted ways with Marcelo Bielsa as their head coach. They have now appointed Jesse Marsch as their new manager. They have conceded 20 goals in their last 5 games which is just unacceptable for a club like them. However, Jesse Marsch could do a lot of changes to turn them into a better side to face a tough Leicester side.

Team News

Leicester City vs Leeds United: The Foxes team news

Leicester City has a fresh injury concern in the form of Ricardo Pereira. The Portuguese had to leave the pitch after feeling ‘tightness’ in his hamstring while facing Burnley. Pereira was taken off at half-time as the manager Brendan Rodgers did not want to risk the player getting injured again. Pereira has not played four consecutive games for Leicester City this season.

Moreover, Wesley Fofana has returned to training while James Justin is also likely to return soon. Timothy Castagne and Jonny Evans could also return after being absent for a few more weeks. In addition, Ryan Bertrand remains sidelined for the whole season. However, a huge positive of Leicester is the return of Jamie Vardy who returned to the squad and also to the scoresheet against Burnley.

Leicester City possible starting lineup

Peter Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Daniel Amartey, Caglar Soyuncu, Luke Thomas; Wilfred Ndidi; James Maddison, Youri Tielemans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Harvey Barnes; Patson Daka.

Leeds United vs Leicester City: The Whites team news

Jesse Marsch has confirmed that Patrick Bamford will not be available to face Leicester City. Nevertheless, he was spotted in training for Leeds suggesting that he could return in action very soon. Liam Cooper and Kalvin Philips are also close to a return but they are also not ready to play against Leicester City.

Leeds are likely to change their approach against Leicester City after their recent sacking of Marcelo Bielsa. The Whites will probably sit back against the Foxes as they now have a threat like Jamie Vardy available. However, this could lead to Leeds having some chances to score on the counter.

Leeds United possible starting lineup

Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Stuart Dallas, Diego Llorente, Junior Firpo, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk; Mateusz Klich, Raphina, Daniel James; Rodrigo Moreno

Our Predictions

Leicester City 2-0 Leeds United

Leicester City have momentum going into the fixture after a 2-0 victory against Burnley. Jamie Vardy possess a greater threat and that was visible instantly after his comeback to the pitch. Leeds are likely to sit back and absorb the pressure. The players will take time to adjust to the coaching style of Jesse Marsch. However, if they do get a result against the Foxes it would be a great achievement for the Leeds manager.
