Liverpool are considering a ‘Sensational’ late Leroy Sane transfer deal

Liverpool

According to reports, Liverpool is considering a spectacular transfer deadline-day transfer of Bayern Munich striker, Leroy Sane. The wide forward, 27, has been named by the Merseysiders as a top-tier Mohamed Salah replacement candidate.

Jurgen Klopp declared earlier on deadline day that Mohamed Salah of Liverpool is not for sale. But his future remains uncertain as the summer transfer season draws to a close.

Due to Saudi Arabia’s interest in hiring the Egyptian international, he has become the talk of the town over the last few weeks. Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League has been attempting to get the Liverpool star to a contract with them. The Saudi club Al Ittihad offered Liverpool a total of £150 million for Salah. Although, Liverpool rejected the offer and maintains that Salah will not be leaving.

However, the Merseyside giants are genuinely evaluating the market for an A-list successor for their star man. Sane has already established himself in the Premier League for Man City. He is firmly on the radar of Liverpool as someone who can step into Salah’s creative and goal-scoring shoes.

Liverpool thinks Sane can step in for Salah

The Germany international left the Etihad Stadium for Bayern in 2020 in a deal worth reportedly £54.8 million. In 135 games for Pep Guardiola’s team, he scored 39 goals and provided 46 assists, winning two Premier League championships. The 2017–18 season marked the winger’s finest performance in the English Premier League, as he managed 10 goals and 15 assists in 32 league games.

Sane has subsequently amassed 40 goals and 37 assists for Bayern Munich. He has already scored two goals in the Bundesliga to start the 2023–24 season. He has a deal with the Allianz Arena till June 2025. Although he prefers to play on the left flank, the young Schalke player can also play in a central striker role and on the right flank. The German international has been a reliable performer, and Liverpool thinks he can step into Salah’s shoes. A goal threat as well as someone with similar ingenuity, the 27-year-old can contribute.
