The Belgium international re-joined Chelsea in a £97.5m deal last week. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to feature against Crystal Palace. Lukaku, who smashed 30 goals in all competitions for Inter Milan last season is set to feature for Chelsea against Arsenal.

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Romelu Lukaku will be ready to play in Chelsea’s second Premier League game of the season against Arsenal. According to The Mirror, the Chelsea boss said “We expect Romelu to come out of quarantine on Monday and return to full team training on Tuesday. We will prepare him to be ready for Arsenal and hopefully, he can be on the pitch.”

Lukaku will start training with Chelsea on Monday. He is set to start his second spell at Chelsea against their London rivals. The striker struggled to make his presence known during his first spell. Later he moved to Everton and further moved to Manchester United.

After two outstanding years at Inter, scoring 24 goals in Serie A. Last season he helped them win their first Italian title in 11 years. Meanwhile, Lukaku relishes the chance of playing at Stamford Bridge again.

Chelsea’s primary target was Erling Haaland, but they weren’t willing to pay his asking price of £160m. Although when Chelsea turned their attention to Lukaku the deal faced many bumps. Chelsea saw two bids rejected by Inter before the final bid of £97.5m sealed the deal.

Lukaku arrived at Chelsea and Abraham completes his move to AS Roma

The arrival of the Belgian striker has opened the door for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma. Abraham completed his medical on Sunday. AS Roma will pay £34m for the English striker. Abraham is expected to sign a five-year contract worth £4m a year.

Chelsea will have a €80m buyback option on the contract and can be activated in the summer of 2023.
