Since Erling Haaland’s £75 million activates next summer. A player of his quality available for such a price will invite a lot of interest. At this point, Manchester City are in a ‘pole position’ to sign Erling Haaland.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland’s agent is Mino Raiola. He engineered a move for the Norwegian striker to the German giants Borussia Dortmund. He added a cheaper release clause for the striker of around £75 million to his current contract. As he would be asking for around £30 million in agent fee. He believes that £75 million for a striker of Haaland quality is manageable. Moreover, according to Bild, he is looking to get his client a salary of around £820,000-a-week. Reports have been suggesting that Haaland would cost  £500m over a five-year period.

Chelsea had set there eyes on Erling Haaland. But they walked away for the deal after listening to his asking price set by Dortmund. Borussia Dortmund wanted Chelsea to pay £165 million for the striker. Instead, they signed former player Romelu Lukaku. The fact that Manchester City have not signed Harry Kane would make them desperate to sign Erling Haaland.

Last season the striker scored 41 goals in 41 appearances. Moreover, Haaland has scored six goals and assisted three more in five appearances across all competitions this season.
