Manchester United have completed a deal for Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia. The left-back is expected to join the club for the pre-season tour. They have beaten Lyon to the signature.
According to Dutch Journalist Marcel Van der Kraan, an announcement of the left-back signing is potentially imminent. The report states the player has already completed his medical and agreed to personal terms.

The 22-year-old was in strong form for his Dutch side during the 2021-22 campaign. Manchester United were linked with the Netherlands international earlier in the window. However, their interest seemingly cooled down. This put Lyon into the driving seat for his signature. The French club then agreed a fee and personal terms for the Dutch international. Although, it seems the 20-time-English Champions have now hijacked Lyon’s bid to sign the defender.
Manchester United have now agreed a fee with Feynoord. Erik Ten Hag has been tracking the defender since he was the manager of Ajax. Feyenoord’s club director Frank Arnesen has confirmed the same news. “The agreement is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell. If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent,” Arnesen told 1908.nl.He also said the player has agreed to the move as United are paying him more wages and giving him a chance to play in the Premier League.
THE PLAYER IS READY TO PLAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE
According to many plaudits, the player is ready for the big leagues. The player is really made for English football. He has dynamism, fierceness, and physical strength despite not being tall. Malacia has spent his entire career at Feyenoord. He joined the Dutch side academy at the age of nine in 2008. The defender made progress through various youth teams. He made his first-team debut in December 2017.
The Dutchman has scored four times and registered 10 assists in 136 appearances in all competitions. The defender has also represented his country at various age groups. However, he made his senior debut for the national team last September. He is in a strong position to make the squad for the 2022 World Cup.
Manchester United currently have three left-backs on their first team. They are Luke Shaw, Brandon Williams, and Alex Telles. But there is a chance Brandon Williams and Alex Telles will depart if Malacia arrives at the club.
