Marcus Rashford would reportedly reject a move to Tottenham. The player would like to stay at Manchester United this summer.

The 24-year-old England striker has endured a frustrating 2021-22 season. The striker started only 18 of his 32 games across all competitions for the Red Devils. He only scored five goals in those appearances. A section of fans wanted him sold next season due to his poor performances.

They wanted the club to sell Marcus and raise funds for a better player. It seems like Tottenham has expressed an interest in signing Marcus Rashford this summer. The report suggests they have held talks with United to discuss the player’s availability this summer.

RASHFORD IS NOT KEEN ON THE MOVE TO TOTTENHAM

However, other reports suggest that Rashford would prefer to stay at Manchester United. The player would like to fight for his place this summer. He would like to play under new manager Erik Ten Hag rather than relocate to London and join Spurs. Ten Hag has already confirmed his plans to overhaul the first-team squad this summer. It remains to be seen whether Rashford will fit into his plans going forward.

The reports United is willing to move on Rashford are not surprising. The club is linked to Hakim Ziyech who has played under Ten Hag at Ajax. Rashford’s poor form has also kept him out of the England squad for some time.

Rashford is now soon entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford. So a decision has to be made which benefits both the club and the player. He has recorded 93 goals and 57 assists in 303 games for United across all tournaments since his senior debut in 2016. Erik Ten Hag now has to make the decision, of whether the United academy graduate is in his plans for the upcoming season.
