Newcastle £35m blockbuster transfer could wreck Aston Villa plan

While in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur this month, Aston Villa may encounter stiffer competition. The January transfer window is closing. While Villa has until 11 p.m. on Monday to make their final purchase of the season.

While Lyon is thought to have started talks with Bentancur. Who is said to be available for around £21 million this month.

Spurs are considering releasing Lo Celso this month. As the Argentine is not in Antonio Conte’s plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus confirmed on Monday. That they had completed a double deal for winger Dejan Kulusevski and midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

According to ESPN, Bentancur’s deal is worth €19 million over three years, with a further €6 million in add-ons, while Kulusevski joins on an 18-month loan with a €35 million permanent option.
