Paris Saint-Germain lifted the Trophee des Champions as they scored 4 goals past Nantes. The Parisians lifted their first silverware of the 2022-23 season.

They will hope that the winning keeps on continuing. The club will also be hoping to retain the league title and hopefully win the Champions League this season.

Lionel Messi and Neymar starred as PSG won the game and trophy comfortably. Messi opened the scoring after rounding the goalkeeper from Neymar’s through ball. Neymar then scored from the free kick right at the stroke of halftime. However, it was not the only goal for him. He also scored a penalty late in the second half.

Sergio Ramos also found the back of the net to hand PSG a comfortable victory. All three players will be looking to have a good season to help the club win more trophies. However, it seems like the goals were not the focal point of the match. The focal point for Paris Saint-Germain club and players was Neymar in the post-match presentation.

After the match, Neymar was seen handing out winners’ medals to his teammates. This inevitably drew some humorous reactions from the Paris Saint-Germain fans on Twitter. One fan said Mbappe has changed his job. This was in reference to rumors that Mbappe is now a higher authority and is making decisions after signing a new contract.

Whereas another fan joked, “Neymar handing out the medals like he’s the part of the staff. He also added that Neymar has the best personality in football. Paris Saint-Germain are in the middle of a rebuild after a disappointing last season. The Parisians have made some interesting moves this summer. They have replaced Mauricio Pochettino as a manager with Christophe Galtier.

In terms of players, they have bought in the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Vitiniha, and Nordi Mukiele. They have also sold the likes of Alphonse Areola, Angel Di Maria, and Xavi Simmons. Whereas despite a great performance, the rumors of Neymar being moved on by Paris Saint-Germain refuse to disappear.
