Philippe Coutinho posts positive message for Aston Villa fans

Philippe Coutinho posted a very positive and morale-boosting message on his Instagram as Aston Villa are set to return to Premier League action against Leicester City on Saturday.

Aston Villa had their fixture against Liverpool rescheduled due to the red’s involvement in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City. The club heads into the game against Leicester City in horrendous form. Steven Gerrard’s side have lost four matches on the spin in the league. But the club are still 15th in the Premier League table and comfortably well over the relegation dotted line.

While the club have not been fighting for anything in regard to the Premier League table in recent weeks. But Steven Gerrard has confirmed that his players are fighting for a place at the club beyond the summer. Talking to the media after the club’s 2-1 loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Steven Gerrard said:

“We decided to have a war with Wolves after 70 minutes – 70 minutes too late. At the moment we are looking like a 45-minute team and that is on me. I’ve got to fix it and I will fix it. The players here have to help me now for the next eight games and if not, we’ll get players who will help me fix it. We can’t give gifts. I don’t remember another team giving us a gift whereas we are giving away very poor goals.”

Philippe Coutinho posted a picture in training at the Aston Villa training ground. The Brazilain attacking midfielder’s caption read: “We start the week working hard and with positive mentality,”

The Aston Villa faithful will be hoping that the Aston Villa squad can be positive and end their horrible run of form in the Premier League. While Philippe Coutinho will be hoping that can continue his good run of form since making his return to the Premier League.

According to reports, Aston Villa and Steven Gerrard are planning for a big summer with a lot of incoming and outgoings in the summer transfer window. However Philippe Coutinho is on top of the Villan’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window. Gerrard has also confirmed that Tyrone Mings may also be stripped of club captaincy next season.
