ASTON VILLA

Premier League midfielder could join Aston Villa this season

Graeme Bailey was speaking to Talking Transfers Podcast where he claimed which Premier League midfielders could join Aston Villa. Aston Villa finished in an unimpressive 14th position. Though, they boast of world-class players like Coutinho, Ings, Watkins, Digne, and Martinez.

Still, they could not show their class on the pitch, and Villa was led to suffer. Therefore, in order to strengthen their team next season and to improve their chances of a top-half finish. They have already made Coutinho a permanent player and signed Boubacar Kamara.

Despite Kamara joining Bailey claims that Brighton’s Yves Bissouma could still join Villa. Therefore, both of them could partner at the Villa midfield.

He said,” So I’m told this interest has stepped up even since Sunday, they’ve begun conversations with Brighton and with his people, they’re making it known they want him and this could accelerate quite quickly, this one.”

We think a fee of around £30m; Tottenham are interested, we’ve heard Arsenal, West Ham and I’m sure there are probably others, too. Bissouma is a wonderful player, I saw him the other week at Leeds and he dominated that game.”

How important a signing will Bissouma prove for Aston Villa?

It would be an impressive start in the transfer market for Villa this season if they could complete the signing of Bissouma. Kamara has great European experience and has already 170 games at the age of 22. Moreover, Bissouma has previously been linked to the likes of Manchester United and Spurs.

In addition, they are also planning on securing the signature Rangers defender Calvin Bassey. He had an excellent first season with Ibrox and now he is been linked with his former manager. Bissouma still has one year left on his contract. Therefore, this would be the last chance for Brighton to get a fair amount of money for the midfielder.

Next year he will become a free agent and the Seagulls will not get any money from his transfer. Moreover, Gary Linekar previously called this player ‘exceptional’.
