Tottenham Hotspur join the race to steal Rennes winger Jeremy Doku amid interests from both Manchester City and West Ham United.

The 21-year-old is known for his incredible agility, dribbling, speed, and ability to strike. The Rennes winger plays as a winger for his Ligue 1 team as well as his national team(Belgium). Premier League teams eye for the Belgian as the race for Doku’s signature seems to heat up.

Manchester City, Tottenham, West Ham United, and now Chelsea also join the race. The Blues triggered a £35M release clause in Olise’s Palace contract and thought they had a deal for the 21-year-old all wrapped up before the shocking announcement of his new 4-year contract at Belhurst Park.

Meanwhile, West Ham United seems to win the race as they have already submitted an offer to Rennes. The offer is slightly less than £50M but Rennes still sticks to the price for the winger. The Hammers may be pushing it further but it’s stated that Manchester City is confident of signing Doku in the coming weeks. Earlier this week, it was reported that Doku has agreed to join City.

Who is Jeremy Doku?

The right sided winger made his professional debut at the age of 16 and caused mayhem with his blistering pace. Rather than the interests from top clubs earlier in his career, Doku joined Rennes in 2020. He signed a five year contract for Rennes, for €26M, which was the most expensive signing in the clubs history. Undoutedly, Jeremy Doku has also been recognised as one of the most talented young players in this position.

Doku has also represented Belgium at certain youth levels. He made his international debut in 2020. Doku has scored two goals so far for his national team. One against Ireland in the UEFA Nations League, and one against Finnland in UEFA Euro 2020.
